Food Slicer

Food slicers are a useful tool for a commercial kitchen as they make the task of slicing meat, cheese and other food quick and simple. You need to think about the amount of food slicing you will be doing in your kitchen, if you are only going to slice occasionally then a manual food slicer should suffice but for large quantities electric food slicers are better. Electric slicers give you precision slicing too so slices come out the same every time.

When choosing your meat slicer, select one with a slicing blade suitable to what you want to slice. Blade size is important, a small restaurant can normally cope with a 7” or 9” blade but for establishments or catering kitchens that need higher volume; seek out a 10” or 12” blade.
